Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued Until Midnight

OMAHA – Severe thunderstorms have already made their way throughout the area, and now the National Weather Service has issued a Watch on Monday evening.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Boone, Colfax, Cuming, Madison, Platte, and Stanton counties until midnight.

Mid-afternoon on Monday, a Flash Flood Watch was also issued until late Monday night/early Tuesday morning. That includes Antelope, Boone, Cedar, Knox, Madison, Pierce and Wayne counties.

A prolonged period of precipitation will likely result in overnight accumulations ranging anywhere from 1 to 3 inches by early Tuesday morning.
