WAYNE – Community members joined a new business of downtown Wayne for a ribbon cutting event Friday morning.
Highway 15 Salvage Company, located at 311 Main Street, has been open since July 5 but hosted their first Chamber Coffee.
Dan and Teresa Tiedtke will be married for 12 years at the end of September. The couple had this business in mind, but Dan talked about it was time to create the business.
“We were going to do it when we were older, but the opportunity was here, we already had the building and so we thought we’d give it a shot,” Dan said.
With both rustic and new items to be sold, every time you visit the store, there may be something new.
Brodrick (nine) and twins Myles (seven) and Bryn (seven) join Dan and Teresa who all help out.
“They help out and it’s a family business,” Teresa added. “They have some things they’ve treasure picked or picked, ‘or created, Dan added’, yeah or created and have in here as well for sale.”
Majority of the items that are for sale at Highway 15 Salvage have been kept over the years with the Tiedtke’s. The company will also bargain with farmers to make deals on other items as well.
Highway 15 Salvage Company is open Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
“Then this fall and into winter we think we might do some Sunday hours as well,” Teresa mentioned. “So, that’ll kind of be posted on our Facebook and we’ll kind of let people know. We’ll probably do like 12 – 4 p.m. on Sunday if we’re open on Sunday’s.”
Contact the store at 402-369-2653 or visit them on Facebook at Hwy 15 Salvage Company.
Join Pac N’ Save for the next Friday morning Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m. on September 15.
