NORFOLK – A recent effort for the Nebraska State Patrol Troop B (Norfolk) came to an end six months into the year.
The enforcement took place from January 1 through June 30 focusing on impaired driving.
During that time period, troopers issued 53 summonses, violations and warnings. There were no arrests for Driving Under the Influence but other violations included Open Container (one), Seat Belt (seven) and No Operator’s License (one).
The enforcement included vehicle checks and sobriety checkpoints. Also, 106 people who had contact with law enforcement were not written for any violations.
Thanks to a grant of $2,850 from the North Central District Health Department who provided grant funding for the enforcement.
