FREMONT – The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce and First State Bank & Trust Company is presenting Leadership Fremont starting next month.
Leadership Fremont helps participants develop leadership skills, improve their effectiveness as leaders in the community, and increase the awareness in the Fremont community of the potential for development and growth within social, civic, and professional groups. It will also provide those who participate with an overview of the leadership in the city, inform them of city and county government, and teach them about community resources.
Leadership Fremont is a nine-month program that begins in September and will end in May 2018. Those who participate will attend one two-day retreat, and eight all-day meetings that will typically take place on the third Thursday of each month. Other activities will include community service, city county or school board meetings, networking events, and leaning about local non-profit activities.
Tuition for the program is $595 for Chamber members, $495 for qualifying non-profits, and $695 for non-Chamber members. The tuition is due by September 13th. The application deadline is August 18th. Applications must be dropped off at the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce.
Those in the program are typically executives, professionals, government officials, entrepreneurs, educators, directors of non-profit organizations, among others. Those wishing to participate must have the support and commitment of their employer.
