Traffic Stop Results in Two Drug Arrests

NORFOLK, NE —– Two men are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Norfolk Monday night.

Curtis W. Chauvin, 35, and Andrew T. Westerberg, 29 were arrested after police found drugs and drug paraphernalia on the them.

During a search of Chauvin police fond a small digital scale with a crystalline substance residue on it on him. Chauvin also had an active warrant out of Tennessee and was arrested the warrant and being in possession of meth.

A scale and multiple baggies was found inside the console area of the car. While police were searching Westerberg they noticed a string attached to his belt bucket. When the office pulled on the string a small purple Crown Royal bag came out from underpants. The bag was filled with meth and he was arrested on a drug charge with intent to sell.

Both were housed in the Norfolk City Jail before being taken to the Madison County Jail.
