Two Requested Presentations, Officers To Be Appointed During Board Of Education Meeting

WAYNE – The first Wayne Community Schools Board of Education regularly scheduled meeting will take place Monday evening during 2018.

From the Junior/Senior High School Library, Room 407, the Board Member Code of Conduct will be addressed opening at 5 p.m. Attachments to be heard are Conflict Contracts, Conflict Employment of Board Member or Family, Conflict of Interest Producers, Reporting Producers and Code of Ethics.

An annual organizational meeting will be scheduled for the third Monday in January. This is to seat any new members and electing officers. Positions which will need a recommended motion include President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary and Treasurer. Board Committee’s will also be appointed.

The hiring of a Family and Consumer Science (FACS) Teacher and Elementary Special Education Position will be announced Monday. Also, Steve Muir will provide health insurance information as Molly Redden and Kyle Nelson will give a Wayne Basketball Development Association (WBDA) presentation.

NSAA Academic All-Sate Award winners from the Fall of 2017 will be recognized. Those include: Cole Hobza, Sarah Greenwald, Andrea Torres, Nathan Burrows, Tyler Gilliland, Elizabeth Junck, Kecia Schenk, Grace Heithold, Colton Spahr, Abigail Ankeny, Jenna Trenhaile, Ashton Boyer and Katelyn Grone. Honor Coffee will follow the Board of Education meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Commons of the Wayne Jr/Sr High School.
