Warrior Day Luau a Hit at Midland University

*VIDEO* FREMONT – Fortunately, Warrior Day couldn’t have come at a better time for Midland University students.

The beautiful weather on Tuesday helped underclassmen enjoy a few hours in the sun before rain and cooler temperatures arrived Wednesday. With final exams approaching, it proved to be a perfect way to get away for a couple of hours with food and plenty of outdoor activities. Warrior Day saw faculty and staff enjoy the sights and sounds from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday as exams approach and the end of another school year nearly here.

It was nice to be outdoors for a bit and enjoy the afternoon according to freshman Steven Deere of Winfield, KS.

“We’re just out here for Warrior Day and having a good day, throwing the frisbee around and joining in. It’s a great day to be a Warrior.”

Over a dozen vendors helped make the event a success once again with air brushed tattoos, karaoke, and a bounce house proving to be fun for everyone.

Commencement ceremonies for the 2017 class begin on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wikert Event Center on the campus of Midland University.
