WAYNE – U.S. Air Force Airmen 1st Class Mary K. Hoskins recently graduated from her basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
In a release from Joint Hometown News Service (JHNS), Hoskins completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Hoskins graduated from Wayne High in 2012 while attending Wayne State College and playing basketball from 2012 – 2017. Following a medical red-shirt season during her fourth year (2015-2016), she was eligible for a fifth-year where she played in 25 games with four starts.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Mary Katherine “Katie” Hoskins also graduated from Wayne State College in December of 2016 with a bachelor of science degree in Criminal Justice, Sport Management and Coaching.
