WAYNE – This weekend is homecoming weekend for Wayne State College. As part of the festivities, the college held the official grand opening for the newly renovated Conn Library.
Alumni coming back to campus may not have recognized the library after its four-year long facelift. Conn now features a brand new front entrance, convenient back entrance, tons of private study space, the Nordstrand Visual Arts Gallery, classroom space and more.
To kick off the festivities, a faculty art show was held in the art gallery. The public then had the opportunity to take guided tours of the re-done building. WSC President Marysz Rames, welcomed guests and Kevin Armstrong, CEO of the Wayne State Foundation, recognized donors before the ribbon cutting took place.
Be sure to tune into the Wayne State football game, Saturday October 7th on Big Red Country 104.9. Sports director Aaron Sheffler will be speaking to Rames during halftime.
