LINCOLN – After two close games within 24 hours, Wynot lost their legs.
The Blue Devils fell to Mead 40-33, to get the Raiders back to the state finals for the second straight years.
Scoring came at a premium in the first half, with both teams nodded at 13 after two quarters.
They would remain relatively even into the third and fourth quarters, with Mead holding a slim lead for much of the 4th. The Raiders were able to make several plays and free throws late to survive.
Mead will play Mullen at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Raiders fell to Humphrey St. Francis last season.
