WAYNE – As fall sports teams are in their post-season schedule, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced their Fall All-Academic Team Wednesday afternoon.
Over 700 student-athletes were listed among the 16 conference teams. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. The student-athlete must also have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
The Wayne State College women’s soccer team had 12 members named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team, followed by 11 from the football team, nine for volleyball and two each in men’s and women’s cross country.
