WAYNE – With the winter sports season concluded for most schools, the updated 2016-17 NSIC All-Sports Standings have been accumulated as of Tuesday afternoon.

Augustana University leads all 16 conference teams with 109.5 points, followed by Minnesota State-Mankato in second with 101.5 points and MSU Moorhead sits third with 87.75 points.

The NSIC All Sports Award is calculated by awarding the winner of each conference-sponsored championship points totaling the number of teams in that sport plus one. The next place finisher receives points totaling the number of teams less the number of places from first place. Ties in the standings at any level shall result in the totaling of points and equal distribution. Indoor and outdoor track & field are computed at half the total points as listed in the previous mentioned categories.

The All-Sports Champion will be announced following the spring season, with the award being presented at the NSIC Summer Kickoff in Burnsville, Minnesota in July.
