Blue Devil Boys Set To Visit Norfolk Catholic

NORFOLK – Two teams that finished in the top five during the 2017 Great Nebraska Shootout will be in action Thursday evening for a Mid State boys basketball showdown.

The Wayne High Blue Devils are coming off a runner-up finish as the Norfolk Catholic Knights took fifth this past weekend in Wayne.

WHS enters the day with a 4-6 overall record as the Knights are 2-8 following a loss to Winnebago earlier this week. The JV boys game will get underway at 6:15 p.m. with the varsity contest to follow at 7:45 p.m.

Last year, WHS won against Norfolk Catholic in Wayne by the score of 59-49 during the regular season and again in the Subdistricts, 77-67. The last Norfolk Catholic win came in the Mid State Conference Tournament on February 6, 2016 (64-52).
