Blue Devil Softball Looking To Extend 11-Game Win Streak

WAYNE – The Wayne High softball team has been on the road for the last eight games, outscoring opponents 77-3.

The 18-2 Wayne High Blue Devils have won 11 consecutive games between August 29 and September 12. The Blue Devils recently defeated Pierce (14-0) and Boone Central/Newman Grove (17-0) in a road triangular in Albion.

Wayne High is scheduled to host Class A (9-15) Columbus High Thursday evening at 6 p.m. from the Summer Sports Complex. Last year, the Blue Devils defeated the Discoverers 8-6 in Columbus.

Wayne High will get a few days of rest before they’re back on the road next Thursday, September 21 at Wisner-Pilger.
