BLAIR – The Wayne High boys golf teams took park in the Blair Invitational Tuesday.
From River Wilds Golf Club in Blair, Elkhorn was crowned champion during the 18-hole event shooting a 316. Platteview followed in second with a 328, Omaha Skutt Catholic and Gretna each finished third with a 337, Blair 1 took fifth with a 360 and Omaha Concordia placed sixth with a 362.
Oakland-Craig (seventh – 367), Plattsmouth (eighth – 370), Logan View (ninth – 371), Brownell-Talbot (10th – 378), West Point-Beemer (11th – 399), Wayne High (12th – 413), Archbishop Bergan (13th – 416), Arlington (14th – 430), Blair 2 (15th – 431) and Fort Calhoun (16th – 467).
The overall individual low score of the day came from Brandt Radloff (Blair 1) shooting a 71. Dillon Schutte (Elkhorn) placed second with a 74 as Jered Mulder (Oakland-Craig) and Carson Blecke (West Point-Beemer) both tied for third with a 75.
Individually, sophomore Peyton DeWald shot a 97 to lead the Blue Devils with a T-35th place. He was followed by senior Garret Reynolds (102 – 51st), senior Michael Kniesche (105 – T-53rd), freshman Shea Sweetland (109 – T-61st) and junior Austin Fernau (120 – 75th).
Wayne High boys golf is back in action Thursday, April 20 during the Lutheran High Northeast Invite. Tee time is scheduled for 9 a.m. from the Norfolk County Club.
