Early Three-Point Shooting Barrage Helps Carry Norfolk to Win

SOUTH SIOUX CITY – It’s said that for a shooter in rhythm, the basketball hoop can seem like twice as big of a target.

In the first quarter of Norfolk’s win over South Sioux City on Saturday, shooting the ball was like tossing a pebble into the ocean. The Panthers hit eight first quarter three-pointers and ten in the first half of a 79-46 win over South Sioux City.

Norfolk moved the ball well and constantly found open shooters, building a 32-8 first quarter lead that they would not surrender.

The 79 points was a season-high offensively for Norfolk, who had been held below 50 points in their last two games, both losses.
