Furious Final Day Rallies Decide Week 9 Games By Slim Margins

NORFOLK – There was just as much drama at the NCN Sports Desk on Wednesday as an average Friday night on the gridiron.

With time winding down in the final football broadcast poll of the season, thousands of votes were tallied over the final two hours, creating, culminating in two very close tallies.

NCN 35’s Thursday, October 19th game will be Allen at Wausa. The match-up between the Eagles and Vikings garnered 39% of the vote, and saw a furious rally Wednesday to pass the Creighton vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge game, which at one point held over 70% of the vote.

The Friday, October 20th game saw the leader change multiple times over the final hour, with the battle of the unbeaten – Hartington Cedar Catholic at Ponca – edging Emerson-Hubbard at Randolph by just 15 votes, a virtual tie percentage-wise.

In all, 50,909 votes were cast over the 72 hours the poll was live.
