Norfolk Girls Stifle Burke for Third Straight Win

NORFOLK – Norfolk’s defense held Omaha Burke to a season-low scoring output, while getting production from all over the floor in a 43-27 victory on Friday.

After both teams shot well in an 11-11 first quarter, Norfolk’s defense ratcheted up the pressure, allowing the Bulldogs just four total field goals over the final three quarters.

The Panthers also employed a balanced offensive attack, with three players finishing in double figures, and out-rebounded Burke 37-29.

The was Norfolk’s third straight, while Burke has dropped their last four.
