Norfolk’s Rossman Wins Junior Match Play

GOTHENBURG – Norfolk’s Kellen Rossman is the winner of the 2017 junior match play championship.

Rossman won the 16th and 17th holes, birdying at 17 to beat North Platte’s Kort Steele 2 and 1. Rossman was the 4-seed in the tournament, and is the first winner of the Junior Match Play outside of Omaha since 2010.

Rossman is also the first golfer from Norfolk to ever win the tournament.

It was a good week for Northeast Nebraska all around at Wild Horse Golf Club. Beemer’s Lacie Fox won the girls championship on Thursday.
