Randolph Beats BDS, Advances to State Semi’s

LINCOLN – A strong first quarter was enough to propel the Randolph Cardinals into the state semifinals.

The Cardinals were able to top BDS 50-40 in the first round game at Lincoln East High School.

BDS fell behind 14-5 after the first quarter, struggling to shoot shots from both inside and outside. They fell behind even more after two quarters, with the halftime score 27-16, favoring Randolph.

The Eagles made a run in the fourth quarter but again struggled to hit shots.

Randolph was led by Mason Stubbs and Logan Nordhues with 13 points each.

BDS’s Garrett Schardt was the lone Eagle in double-figures with 10.

RHS will take on GACC at 10:45 a.m. at Bob Devaney Sports Center.
