NORFOLK – A Stanton standout volleyball player will continue her career at an area school.

Stanton senior Hannah Heppner signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Northeast last week.

Heppner racked up the honors during her volleyball career at Stanton. She made the Lincoln Journal Star Class C2 Honorable Mention Team, Nebraska Prep Volleyball Class C2 Third Team and the Omaha World Herald Class C2 Honorable Mention Team. She also recorded 531 kills, .323 hitting percentage, 76 blocks, 90 block assists, 11 assists and 74 digs during her high school career.

“Hannah is going to be a great addition to the 2018-19 squad. I believe she will bring a lot of balance to the team and will be a leader by working hard and taking care of business,” said Amanda Schultze the Northeast head volleyball coach.

Heppner joins Julia Eskens, of Wynot, Elley Beaver of Columbus, MaKayla Davidson, of Alliance, Caitlin Kumm, of Osmond, Caitlin Orton, of Bassett, and Megan Wehrbein, of Lewiston, as 2018 Northeast volleyball signees.
