Trojan Volleyball Continues Road Stretch With Four-Set Victory

OSMOND – It was back to the road for Wakefield, as Thursday marked the sixth road volleyball match since the Trojans had a home game on September 12.

From Osmond High School, Wakefield picked up a four-set victory over the Tigers (22-25, 25-16, 25-12, 31-29). Wakefield is now 6-11 on the season, winning four of their last six matches on the road while Osmond falls to 5-8.

Three Trojans posted double digit kills led by the triple-double from junior Jessica Borg with 11 kills, 14 digs and 14 set assists. Junior Devaney Brown added a double-double with 13 kills and 20 digs while junior Breanna Chase also picked up a double-double with 10 kills and 15 set assists. Senior Rachel Brudigam recorded four service aces and 11 digs as Borg led the team in blocks with three.

Wakefield will next visit Ponca on Tuesday, October 3.
