Trojans Volleyball Suffer 3-0 Sweep To Ranked Opponent

WAKEFIELD – Following a home tournament this past weekend, the Wakefield Trojan volleyball team hosted #5/#7 Howells-Dodge Tuesday evening.

Howells-Dodge recorded a road sweep (25-17, 25-19, 25-14) to improve to 8-2 on the season while Wakefield fell back to 2-8.

Junior Jessica Borg paced Wakefield at the net with seven kills while juniors Devaney Brown and Breanna Chase added five kills each. Borg and Chase also accounted for eight set assists each. Senior Emma Pommer totaled three blocks while senior Andrea Lopez added a team-high 18 digs.

Wakefield will next visit Pender on Thursday, September 14.
