Wayne State Softball Prepares for Minnesota Weekend

BEMIDJI/CROOKSTON, MN – Following a home split earlier this week, the Wayne State College softball team prepares for their final road trip of the season.

WSC is 11-33 overall and 5-15 in NSIC play which is 14th in the league.

The ‘Cats will visit the 20-15 (10-10-ninth NSIC) Bemidji State University Beavers Saturday at 1/3 p.m.

Moving to Sunday, April 23, Wayne State travels to Minnesota Crookston who is 11-30-1 (1-18-1 16th NSIC).

The Wildcats will play the remainder of their season from the Pete Chapman Softball Complex in Wayne. Wayne State College hosts double headers with Southwest Minnesota State (4/26), St. Cloud State (4/29) and Minnesota Duluth (4/30).

Entering the weekend, WSC is five games back from the 10th spot in league play. Only the top 10 teams qualify for the 2017 NSIC Softball Tournament which will be held at Sherman Park and Bowden Field in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on May 4-6.
