HARTINGTON – With Tuesday night’s storm making its way through northeast Nebraska, a Junior American Legion baseball game got past the halfway point.
The Wakefield Post 81 Juniors visited Hartington Tuesday with a scheduled first pitch at 7 p.m.
Hartington won over Wakefield, 12-3 in four innings with the game then getting called off due to weather. With the loss, the Post 81 Juniors are now 7-12 on the season.
Nolan Belt paced Wakefield at the plate with a double and run scored. Solomon Peitz added a pair of hits while Parker Lehmkuhl tacked on a hit and RBI.
Noah Lamprecht suffered the loss on the mound.
The Wakefield Post 81 Juniors are back in action this evening for a scheduled road contest at North Bend. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
