Wildcats Set To Visit Top 20 Northern State Teams Friday Night, At MSU Moorhead Saturday

ABERDEEN, SD/MOORHEAD, MN – For the second time this season the Wayne State College women’s and men’s basketball teams will battle with the NSIC North Division.

After hosting University of Mary and Minot State in early December, the Wildcats will visit Northern State University on Friday, January 12 at 6/8 p.m. and take on MSU Moorhead on Saturday, January 13 at 4/6 p.m.

The Wayne State women enter the weekend with a 14-4 (8-2 NSIC) record to sit third in the South Division while the Wildcat men are 10-8 (5-5 NSIC) and are in a three-way tie for fourth in the South Division.

Friday night’s games will feature a pair of ranked opponents in #20 Northern State for the women and #9 NSU for the men. The Northern women are 13-2 (9-1 NSIC) while the men sit 16-1 (10-0 NSIC); both lead the North Division.

Saturday’s opponents are the MSU Moorhead Dragons who will host Augustana Friday. The Dragon women enter the weekend at 11-3 (8-2 NSIC), second in the North Division while the men sit 4-12 (2-8 NSIC) to sit seventh in the North Division.
