Hofmann Waives Right To Speedy Trial
PIERCE- A Columbus man facing felony manslaughter charges has had his trial delayed.
23 year old Daniel Hofmann waived his right to a speedy trial during his appearance in Pierce County District Court Thursday morning
Hofmann is accused of shooting 18-year old Wesley Kuester of Norfolk in April of 2011. Initially, Kuester's death was determined to be self-inflicted, but prosecutors say subsequent investigation implicated Hofmann in the shooting.
Hofmann will be back in court for a pretrial hearing on October 30th at 1pm.
