Miller Resigns As Property/Operations Manager of Norfolk
NORFOLK- A member of the Norfolk city staff will be leaving his position next month
According to City Administrator Shane Weidner, Norfolk Properties Manager Gary Miller resigned last week, citing personal opportunities he wants to puruse as his reason for leaving.
Weidner says isn't going to rush to find a replacement for Miller.
Weidner: "I'm going to take my time and evaluate the overall city operations like we do when anyone leaves our organization. It's incumbent upon me to evaluate that and make sure I can look for all ways to increase efficiency within the city of Norfolk.
Weidner says he will work with Mayor Sue Fuchtman, elected officials, and the rest of the city staff to come up with a good plan on any replacement personnel going forward.
He says Miller is leaving in good standing with the City of Norfolk, and his last day will be sometime in early August.
