Record Snowfall in Norfolk Monday
NORFOLK - Norfolk saw record-breaking snowfall on Monday. The City of Norfolk officially saw 2.9" of snow fall on Monday, which set a new record for Feb. 24th. The previous record was 1.2" which fell back in 1993. Heavier snow fell to the north, where storm spotters reported 5.5" of snow near Bloomfield. The snow is causing late starts for a few schools around northeast Nebraska Tuesday morning. The issue for many Tuesday will turn to extreme cold. A wind chill advisory will be in effect for Dixon County from midnight Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday with wind chill values as low as 30-below.
