Foreign Policy Focused on During Sen. Fischer Listening Session in Norfolk
NORFOLK - With federal lawmakers on August recess, U.S. Senator Deb Fischer met with a number of constituents throughout Northeast Nebraska Friday. Fischer held a listening session with voters in Norfolk Friday morning. The conversation centered largely around foreign policy. Fischer said that there needs to be leadership from the Federal Administration when it comes to addressing the number of issues in the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.
Sen. Fischer(R-NE): "Because if we don't there will be a vacuum there. I talked about that today, we're seeing a vacuum in leadership in this world. I think that has lead to a lot of the unrest and a lot of the violence that's happening around the world."
Fischer also addressed the frustration with the current deadlock caused by Senate leadership, as well as, the current boarder crisis, and the recently passed VA bill.
