Local Car Dealerships Assessing Storm Damage to Inventory
NORFOLK - Damage reports are continuing to come in from across northeast Nebraska following Tuesday's hail storm. A number of private residences and vehicles were damaged by hail reaching baseball size in some areas. Car dealerships in and around Norfolk are also cleaning up and assessing damage to vehicles in their lots. Darrel Novacek, Owner of Courtesy Ford Lincoln in Norfolk said that there was thousands of dollars worth of damage done on the lot in downtown Norfolk.
Novacek: "It's going to be a challenge getting everything done, it will probably take us six months by the time we get everything back in order, either sold or fix or replaced or whatever. So it's going to take some time and effort but we've been through it before."
Novacek said that they don't have a firm tally for the amount of loss sustained in the storm, but said that every car or truck on the lot sustained some form of hail damage.
