January Road Wrecks Up 40%

NEBRASKA.- January car wrecks in Nebraska claimed 21 lives—15 were not wearing seat belts.

According to figures from the Nebraska Department of Roads, the 20 January crashes were a 40 percent jump over January 2016.

Four of the deaths occurred on the interstate, nine on non-interstate highways, and eight on local roads.
