Man arrested after robbery in northeast Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. – A 49-year-old is in custody after a robbery Tuesday evening.

Lincoln police said a man was near the intersection of 29th Street and Cornhusker Highway when another man ran up to him and demanded money.

Police said the man punched the victim five times and took cash from the man’s wallet before running westbound from the area.

LPD said the suspect, later identified as 49-year-old Thomas Romine, was located by officers near 26th Street and Cornhusker Highway and taken into custody for robbery.
