SCHUYLER, Nebraska. – A new educational flick aimed at looking into the challenges of English learners will feature some students from the Schuyler area according to Nebraska Loves Public School officials.
The documentary, “Seeds of Hope,” will include familiar faces from Schuyler Community Schools due to its large immigrant population. Other school districts in the state featured in the film include Lincoln, Omaha, and Chardon public schools.
Schuyler Community Schools Superintendent Dan Hoesing believes the film will showcase Schuyler’s works with the immigrant community.
The state of Nebraska has seen a 113 percent increase in English language learners since 2000.
